I have been dealing with Jake Holt from Broomham for the last couple of months in order to make a big move in my career with the aim being a better work life balance to spend more time with my young child.

He listened to everything I needed from a new job and carefully selected roles that matched my skill set, experience and interests importantly with companies offering the right culture to allow me to be a working parent.

I can honestly say I wouldn’t want to deal with another recruiter or recruitment company. Jake works hard at what he does, often out of hours, and was always on hand for advice on interview prep etc as well as delivering prompt feedback.

I find myself leaving a five star review for a recruitment consultant having vowed never to use one again after 7 years of negative, stereotypical behaviour and results: irrelevant CVs, not really being listened to and just a general complacency and malaise, not to mention total lack of EQ or interrogation over cultural 'fit' (whatever that is). And... multiple interviews during which I wanted to bang my head against the desk because the candidate was so random and inappropriate.

However, Nicola and Jake at Broomham could not be more the antithesis of this experience, and I genuinely feel that we've met our lifelong recruitment partners. Video interviews and in depth conversations, written tests and a genuine interest and understanding of who we are as a business (our values and politics and so on) and who therefore, would happily join our small and alternative team and bring with them great benefit.

I had an honest, intense and hugely communicative relationship with Jake for the entire process over some weeks and I felt he was absolutely on a mission to impress me and get it right. Whenever I thanked him, he simply said: "that's my job. I'm just glad you're pleased." And he meant it - even if it was 7pm on a Saturday (yes, really).
If someone was a 'no' he wanted to know why; a true testament to not wanting to rush the process, but to find us a team member with talent retention in mind.

As a woman in Estate Agency running her own business, I feel aligned with and supported by Nicola Broomham, and this culture of ambition, diversity and inclusivity is clearly top down as she empowers her team to support her good work. This team really are changing recruitment not just for the better, but on a fundamental level.

The team at Broomham are nothing short of epic. Not only are they genuinely lovely people but they go above and beyond for all of their clients. The agents and their candidates too! The feedback we receive from all candidates is fantastic and that's super refreshing. They communicate regularly, effectively and take onboard all feedback. We've never had a team of recruiters get it so right. I suppose that's down to them really getting to know our business and exactly what we're looking for (and why). They really use that to determine who the best candidates are and have the highest conversion rate from initial video intro, to hire - of any recruiter we've used. That saves us hours of our time and makes a big difference. I trust them wholeheartedly and recommend them to any agent who shares the same values as they do!

Working in the property industry it can be hard to find the right person to fit your team or business.
I have been a candidate and hirer with Nicola and I can not fault how her and her team does things. Thinks outside the box, honest and acts with true integrity something I haven’t always experienced with a recruiter.

I was struggling to find someone for my role, I had a recruiter already working on finding someone but with no luck. Within 48 hours, Nicola sent me a CV, I had interviewed and job offered the candidate- they started a week later!

I had already seen and heard good things about Broomham Recruitment before I approached them, so my expectations were fairly high... but Nicola and her team absolutely smashed them to pieces! The service was incredible, from an initial chat to find out what I needed, to an in-depth video meeting with her tea, to really understand what was required for the role. And within less than 24 hours, her team had put three, excellent candidates in front of me, each one more than worthy of the role. The end result was just as impressive as Nicola and her team.
