Estate agents: your demo time is now worth money

Kerfuffle launches Prop Tech That Pays

A new initiative giving estate agents the chance to earn money from supplier demos they actually want to attend.

Kerfuffle has launched Prop Tech That Pays, a new initiative that rewards estate agents for spending time exploring the technology and services that could help their businesses.

Estate and letting agents sit through countless supplier demonstrations every year, often giving up valuable time to understand new products, compare solutions and decide whether a piece of technology is right for their agency.

Kerfuffle’s latest initiative turns that time into something agents can actually be rewarded for.

You were probably going to watch a few demos anyway. You may as well get paid for them.

Introducing Prop Tech That Pays

With Prop Tech That Pays, Kerfuffle members can register their details, select the supplier demonstrations they are genuinely interested in and have those appointments booked straight into their diaries.

And when they attend?

They get paid.

Agents keep 95% of the demo payment, with the remaining 5% supporting Agents Giving and Kerfuffle.

“Agents are incredibly time-poor, and we all know how many supplier demos they’re asked to attend.

But if you’re giving someone your time to understand their product and work out whether it could genuinely improve your business, why shouldn’t that time have a value?

You were probably going to watch a few demos anyway. You may as well get paid for them.”

A new way to discover proptech

Prop Tech That Pays is designed to make the process useful for both sides.

Agents can choose the products and services they are actually interested in, rather than sitting through irrelevant pitches. Suppliers get the opportunity to speak to engaged decision-makers who have actively chosen to learn more.

For agents, it means discovering new technology without feeling like valuable diary time has simply disappeared.

Get money for giving suppliers some of your time.

See whether their tech could actually help your business. Simple.

Take the cash or turn it into Kerfuffle credit

Agents can choose to receive their payment or bank it as Kerfuffle Shenanigans Credit.

Those choosing credit receive an additional 25% bonus, which can then be put towards all sorts of useful, ridiculous or extremely Kerfuffle things.

  • Supplier bills
  • Team treats
  • Bubbly
  • Goodies
  • Kerfuffle hoodies
  • Other Kerfuffle shenanigans

Better conversations for agents and suppliers

For Kerfuffle, the initiative is also about improving the way agents and suppliers connect.

Rather than suppliers fighting for attention in an already overcrowded inbox, agents can proactively choose the companies and technology they want to explore.

That creates a much clearer exchange: relevant suppliers get an interested audience, and agents are rewarded for the time they invest.

“We want agents to discover products that can genuinely make their businesses better, but we also recognise that their time matters.

Prop Tech That Pays gives them a reason to explore what’s out there while putting something back in their pocket at the same time. It feels like a pretty obvious win.”
