Steph Botcher
Operations Manager

What is your career background?

I started my career within the hair and beauty industry, after 6 years I had a desire to spread my wings and venture in to a new industry to learn new skills. I found a position within Executive Search Recruitment where I placed senior level professionals in to highly respected management consulting firms in the UK and Europe. I also worked with FTSE companies to recruit mid – senior level roles. I started as a trainee consultant and quickly worked my way in to a senior consultant position. After 5 years in Executive Search Recruitment, I took a maternity break to have my first child. 1 year later I was ready to return to work, I joined Crux in November 2021 as an Office Administrator and Consultant, then when the opportunity came to be the Operations Manager and PA to Iain White, I felt it was perfect timing to move from the sales side of the business to operations.

How did you come to work for Crux Careers?

I applied for a Office Administrator job role that Crux were advertising. After having a chat with Myles on the phone, I was invited to a interview. Once I met the team and gained a good understanding of how Crux operates as a company, it was a no brainer to accept their job offer.

What's your proudest achievement?

Taking myself out of my "recruitment safe zone", jumping ship in to the operations side of the business and hitting the ground running with no experience in operations / personal assistance. So far, so good!
