Meet the people behind the brand - WeCOMPLETE part 1

Amy Simmons – CEO of WeCOMPLETE

Amy Simmons is an award-winning property professional with experience across all property sectors. Amy has built and sold high street estate agencies and property management companies and is now the designer and driving force behind WeCOMPLETE. Amy's passion is in the digital reformation of the property industry.

How did you come up with the idea to launch WeCOMPLETE?

As a property professional with over 20 years of experience, including being an estate agent I witnessed, many frustrations within the industry throughout, which made me ask myself, "what would I change?" And the answer was: there has to be a better and faster way to convey properties. I studied the anxieties of homeowners, and the solution became clear. The solution needed to reduce timescales, offer transparency on fees and process, update and manage expectations, and offer support throughout, and this is how WeCOMPLETE was born.

What’s your proudest achievement?
Witnessing WeCOMPLETE reducing completion times by 42% and having key industry figures identifying us as the single end-to-end conveyancing solution and the only full CRM that sends real-time case progress updates to estate agents, legal teams, mortgage brokers, buyers and sellers, and external parties at the same time.

What are the Top 3 challenges you believe your business solves for agents?
1. Estate agents and legal teams realise their fees sooner, vastly improving cash flow while being able to drive new work via the white-labelled quoting tool, the first agent on board doubled their businesses monthly revenue.

2. It coordinates the work of estate agents and legal teams using world-class technology to progress the sale, whilst providing the ability to monitor the property transaction and stay in touch with clients and interested parties in real-time, at the same time eliminating labour intensive phone calls, email communication, and snail-mail.

3. It encourages transparency and open communication between everyone involved. My mission is to enable estate agents, conveyancers, mortgate brokers, sellers and buyers to share the property journey in one central place, without a need for constant chasing for updates and guessing games

What is the most valuable lesson you have learnt from working with estate agents so far?
Estate agents and conveyancer are constantly looking into the ways to alleviate the pressures associated with property transactions and it needs to be acknowledged that conveyancing of a property, even though intricate and involved, can be streamlined to enable all parties to enjoy the process instead of dreading it.

Daniel Bell – CMO of WeCOMPLETE

Daniel Bell is a property expert with two decades of experience covering many areas of property, from construction and investment to PropTech solutions. A trained marketer with a background in the London advertising industry as a creative, working with some of the world's most recognised brands ranging from banking and technology to property and fast-moving consumer goods sectors.

How did you come to work for WeCOMPLETE?
Amy and I have worked together for many years, firstly in bricks and mortar but more recently in proptech. Amy's frustrations of the property transaction were very much aligned with my own over the years as a property investor, so it was a no brainer when she shared the idea for WeCOMPLETE with me. Without a doubt, I was in! And we haven't looked back.

What's your proudest achievement?
A market-orientated company; I'm keen as a marketer that our business remains market-orientated (customer orientated, customer-focused, they all mean the same). In this, we've succeeded despite the challenges of bringing all parties, estate agents, conveyancers, mortgage brokers, buyers and sellers into one platform. WeCOMPLETE is not one solution for all; it is a solution for all in one.

What are the Top 3 challenges you believe your business solves for agents?
1 . Comparison Quotes
There's a lack of knowledge and understanding of the conveyancing process on the part of the home mover. Both the Competition and Markets Authority and the Solicitors Regulation Authority recognise the benefit that digital comparison tools like WeCOMPLETE offer to the consumer.

2. Show Your Value
It's hard to appreciate what you can't see. Showcasing what is needed to get a property transaction over the line can manage a client's expectations, anxieties and mean they don't have to pick up the phone. If you can see where the case is in two clicks, you don't need to ask.

3. Brand, Brand, Brand
Of course, as a marketer, I have to say brand. But your brand is far more than your brand codes (logo, colours etc.) A brand is just as much about memories of a hassle-free transaction, knowing your agent was just a message away and trusting you could see each step as it progressed in real-time. 2% of your brand is logos and colours. The other 98% of your brand equity is how you make them feel. Good communication, efficiency, transparency enhanced by tech all play into this. The fact it all happens under your brand codes is the icing on the cake.

What is the most valuable lesson you have learnt from working with estate agents so far?
Not a lesson, more of a reminder. Like customers in any sector, Agents come in all shapes and sizes and have different needs and motivations. There is no one size fits all; there is no one hypothetical customer. Just many wonderful different customers

Suraj Bist has held technical leadership roles in some of the city's leading banks and software consultancies. He is sharing his decades of experience at the cutting edge of technology developments with WeCOMPLETE. Suraj provides robust leadership for the secure and continued development of this industry-leading platform.

How did you come to work for WeCOMPLETE?
I have been championing the utilisation of technology in the property industry for years and WeCOMPLETE presented a perfect opportunity to bring about that change, especially with the widely ushered digitisation of conveyancing.

What’s your proudest achievement?
Developing a true market disruptor which provides a solution to probably the biggest pain point involved in buying and selling of properties.

What are the Top 3 challenges you believe your business solves for agents?
Needs for collaboration, engagement with all the stakeholders, streamlining of property completion process.

What is the most valuable lesson you have learnt from working with estate agents?
Digitisation of the property industry is no longer a possibility and a ‘nice to have’, but a necessity.
