Every estate agent worth their weight knows the value of their brand. It’s the sign above the door, the board outside the property, the name sellers recommend to their friends. But what happens when that brand disappears the moment a client begins their journey with you?

 
We had a gut feeling: if clients were welcomed into a branded onboarding experience, rather than a generic one, it would change how they engaged. A stronger sense of trust. A smoother start. More deals moving forward.
 
So, instead of guessing, we tested it.
 
For two weeks, we ran a controlled experiment across 850 transactions. One group of clients were onboarded through an unbranded experience. The other went through a fully branded journey, carrying the agent’s identity from start to finish.
The results
When your brand is present, clients engage more, follow through, and complete at far higher rates.
  • Clients in the branded experience were 17% more likely to start
  • They were 28.5% more likely to complete the full onboarding process.
If you’re not embedding your brand into the client journey (or you’re relying on tools that strip it out) you’re not just creating a jarring experience for clients. You’re also holding back your own performance. Clients don’t expect to see unfamiliar logos when they’ve chosen to work with you, and every time your brand is missing, trust takes a hit.

Think about it this way: when you open a bank account, you aren’t bounced between different branded systems. Behind the scenes, banks use dozens of specialist technologies to handle payments, security checks, and compliance. But as a customer, you never see them. The whole journey feels consistent and delivered by the bank you chose. That’s deliberate. Banks know that if the process felt fragmented, your confidence in them would drop.
 
Estate agency should be no different. Clients don’t care which systems are powering the process. They want to feel they’re dealing directly with the agent they instructed — not being handed off into someone else’s workflow.
 
Your brand isn’t just a badge on the door. It’s a lever that shapes behaviour and drives results. Bring it into every step of the journey, and you turn trust into progress. Leave it out, and you lose momentum you can’t afford to waste.
