RAN Virtual Conference 2020

ClosedeventforRANMembersonly

Kerfuffle is delighted to be platinum sponsors for the 2020 Virtual RAN Conference.

The relocation agent network is a national network of estate agents, handpicked based on quality of service, local knowledge and professionalism to exclusively represent RAN.

This year will see the first Supplier of the Year Award presented. Kerfuffle assisted with compiling votes from the RAN network and is excited to reveal the overall winner and two runners-up during the event.

Chief Kerfuffler Simon Whale will also be presenting a speaker session that highlights best practice examples of collaborations between RAN's preferred suppliers and their members, and giving an update on what's new at Kerfuffle.

The conference always attracts a high calibre speaker line-up. This year's speakers include:

Penny Mallory

Former BBC and Channel 4 broadcaster, rally and stunt driver, Penny Mallory is a writer and expert on the psychology of success and high-performance teams. Having faced a difficult period in her life involving homelessness and alcohol abuse, Penny forced herself to turn things around. Raising sponsorship to work her way up the rallying ranks, she became National Ladies Champion within four years of racing and went on to become the first woman to drive in the World Rally Car classification.

Penny will draw on her own experience and combine personal stories around self-belief and overcoming challenges with practical insights. She will talk about the power of creative thinking and embracing change, for both individual transformation and business innovation.  She will also weave into her session the findings from four mental toughness assessments that have been undertaken by members.

Holly Tucker

Holly Tucker is the co-founder and president of online marketplace, notonthehighstreet.com. She helped create a whole new way for small retailers to operate in the online era by providing them with a digital platform. With a career in advertising, Holly spent her spare time organising design-led craft fairs around London, where she realised that small businesses needed a platform to sell their products beyond town halls and assembly rooms. The internet provided an obvious solution and with a former colleague they founded notonthehighstreet.com. Today, Holly runs a successful high street shop and award-winning website, which is a multimillion-pound business, going from serving 100 enterprises to 5,000, selling over 200,000 products.

The UK’s Ambassador for Creative Small Businesses, Holly is passionate about the high street and a retail experience beyond just online. In her session, she suggests ways in which companies can foster an entrepreneurial mind set, build a genuine connection between business and consumer and grow without losing a company’ core values.

Roger Martin-Fagg

We’re delighted to once again welcome RAN favourite, economist Roger Martin-Fagg to this year’s Conference. After studying Economics, Economic History and Geography, Roger worked as an economist with the New Zealand Government. He returned to the UK to work in the air transport industry before teaching strategy and economics. Since then he has worked to help managers bridge the divide between theory and practice, both as a consultant and as a tutor at the Henley Management College. His session will cut through the jargon to reveal what the numbers, market shifts and policy announcements really mean.

Roger will also look at the strategy that companies need to adopt in order to grow, and how that strategy should evolve, be articulated and reviewed
