Why automation in referencing does not get you the best tenants

Why automation in referencing does not get you the best tenants - watch the full webinar

Speakers:
Gary Abraham - CEO at Letmojo
Emily Groves - Senior Account Manager at Letmojo

Gary:
Gary was the original owner and MD of Rentshield Direct. Setting Rentshield up in 2004 he sold it in 2010 to Barbon Insurance. During his earn out period he was promoted to Group Sales & Marketing Director responsible for over 200 people. Here he oversaw the Barbon Group sale in 2015 for £48 million. After seeing the introduction of automation into the sector through open-banking he knew it was the right time to get back into the hot-seat and set-up Letmojo. “It’s time to stop devaluing this industry and give the tenants their names back instead of Computer says NO”.

Emily:
Emily spent 5 years in the referencing team at Rentshield Direct, before moving over to the account management team for 3 years. Emily was in charge of client retention, and was instrumental in delivering the roll-out of their void platform.

Emily came on board with Letmojo as the senior account manager, and looks after the team here. Our agents have described her as someone who is always there to answer a question, no matter what it is! She makes sure she stays on top of industry changes and market trends, so she can share this information with our agents.

Why tune into this webinar?
We discuss how:
- Automated referencing will give you very basic information on the tenant, it’s not comprehensive, and it’s not checked by anyone but you as the letting agent. So in effect you are taking all the risk and making all of the decisions yourself.
- Choose a company that is interested in the market and helping you understand the marketplace, rather than just trying to sell you products. They are only in this to make money from you and not to help your business grow, be safe, and succeed.
- Customer service is what makes your lettings business tick, covid has seemingly given businesses an excuse to move away from a customer focus. Make sure you’re working with a company that will help you, answer your questions and work with you to enhance your customer service to your tenants and your landlords. Then you're in a true business partnership and you'll both flourish.
