For the time-consuming beginning of tenancy process, the TDS API has simplified transferring tenancy deposit data for many agents.
No longer do you need to manually enter deposit data, instead, it’s transferred at the click of a button. TDS API removes human error, the need to duplicate data and is saving agents up to 10 minutes per tenancy time. TDS recognises the importance of an accurate and comprehensive inventory to minimise the risk of end-of-tenancy deposit disputes. We work closely with Inventory Hive an industry-leading provider of inventory software, to ensure that inventory clerks, letting agents and landlords have access to an easy to use software solution that, if used properly, should decrease tenancy deposit disputes.
End of tenancy solutions
We encourage landlords and lettings agents to stay in touch with tenants throughout the end-of-tenancy period; reminding tenants to pay the last month’s rent, to clean the property, repair any damage and sort out the garden. That’s why we’ve integrated with The Depositary. This innovative software platform helps lettings agents better manage the end-of-tenancy process.
The Depositary - TDS has integrated some of The Depositary’s process into its tenancy deposit software across both TDS Insured and TDS Custodial. This innovative software application helps landlords and lettings agents to better manage the end of tenancy process.

Setup / Onboarding
For customers who do not currently use TDS, there is a straightforward switching agreement in place with alternative providers to enable a seamless transition of data and deposit monies. The process of transferring to TDS is usually fully completed within 2 weeks. Simply send your authorisation to your current scheme and we’ll help you from there.
Training & Support
Hundreds of property professionals have already benefitted from our exclusive TDS Academy training. The courses and workshops cover all the essential steps of tenancy deposit protection, and have been specifically developed for property managers and administrators, inventory suppliers and landlords. Furthermore, we also offer bespoke training for agents that switch to TDS Custodial.
The TDS Academy delivers expert guidance on the lifecycle of a deposit, from registration and repayment through to the alternative dispute registration (ADR) process and disputes.
Delivered by our experienced presenters, these online courses help delegates to understand the timelines and requirements of tenancy deposit protection to avoid costly errors when it comes to registering a deposit.
Delegates also learn when and how to make a claim, what evidence can be used to support a claim, and how to think like an adjudicator. We discuss scenarios and identify the kind of evidence an adjudicator looks for in a tenancy deposit dispute. Sharing individual experiences and learning from others is something past delegates have particularly enjoyed.
All attendees are given training packs to take away for future reference, and qualify for Continued Professional Development (CPD), which is confirmed with a TDS Academy certificate.
